Chapter 4: Key steps in participatory place-based health planning

This chapter provides an overview of how place-based health planning using a co-design approach was implemented in the project. Five key steps will be outlined as depicted in Figure 4.1. Our team facilitated activities within each community to work through each of these steps, keeping locals centred at each step of the process.

Within each step, there are examples of how activities were implemented in the project and in some sections, templates or questions that can be used and/or adapted to guide the reader through the process.
