Acknowledgements
Acknowledgement of Country
The authors respectfully acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the lands on which our project team works, and the communities involved in this project. We honour their enduring connection to Country – to land, waters, and culture. We pay our deepest respects to Elders past and present and extend that respect to all First Nations peoples.
Research and Project Support
The authors acknowledge the valuable contributions by all local connectors (employed as Project Support Officers) based in each of the communities participating in the project:
- Mim Crase (Hughenden)
- Catherine Wilkes / Jan Anfruns / Sandy Frost (Clermont)
- Tracey Paul (Kowanyama)
The authors also acknowledge JCU Research Officers, Kristy Clancy and Roz Rowen, from the Working it Out Together Project for their collaboration and support at the Kowanyama site, and the JCU Library Open eBook team for their support in technical development of this publication.
