Who should use these guidelines?

These guidelines will be useful for individuals or organisations (such as those listed below) who are contemplating or planning local health service change, innovation or redesign and students in preparation for work within the health sector.  The guidelines may be useful for:

If place-based health planning work is being driven by an individual or party external to the community or place, it is vital to ensure there is local community support for the work prior to commencement. Guidance is provided in the next chapter.
