Unit 4: Ergonomic Resources and Recommendations to Enhance BYOD

Learning Objective:

To critically examine a variety of ergonomic strategies that may be used to enhance BYOD and explore the impact of this on educational outcomes.

This unit offers a comprehensive set of resources and recommendations created for teachers and occupational therapists to improve student ergonomics while using BYOD devices. These resources aim to address the factors influencing ergonomics and mitigate the risks of poor ergonomics at school and home, as identified in Unit 2 and 3. Recognising the influence of caregivers on their children’s ergonomic practices, some resources are also tailored for parental use. The unit includes resources created by the project team that minimise the time required for teachers to implement strategies focused on the person, the environment, and their occupation. Direct links are provided to facilitate easy access to the resources.
