This CHAPTER in PC 2540 begins the journey into the Research Methods in Pharmacy Practice with QUANTITATIVE METHODS – which will be followed up in PC2550 with Qualitative and Mixed Methods next trimester:
Quantitative research methods in pharmacy practice complement qualitative research methods by providing estimates of frequency, commonness and size. Researchers use existing data or collect their own via observation or self-report.
When considering quantitative research methods non-experimental research methods can include the following:
- Observational Research Method
- Archived data method
- Survey research method
