Structure of the Plan (Framework)
In this chapter you will learn how to:
- Draft your research Plan (framework) for your study according to the structure of the plan outlined below.
The framework for writing the plan will follow the outline below.
Research Framework (Plan) for PC2550
FORMAT
Total words – ±1000
Title (Arial 12 Bold)
Background (Heading Arial 12: 400-500 words, includes the research question etc. ) including sentences on the background (Arial 11) the significance (why is it important) what is the problem (the gap). This leads on to the aim, which is the last sentence of this paragraph.
Research Question and Objectives (Heading Arial 12)
- What are you going to do? (Arial 11) – the objectives van be in bullet points.
Methods (Heading Arial 12: 400-500 words)
- How are you going to do it e.g., Participants (Arial 11), Study design, Methods. You can include information on your data collection tool, and whether you are using a theoretical framework. And importantly how are you going to analyze the data. (Arial 11). Tip check methods in journals
Outcome (heading Arial 12: 100 words)
- What do you expect to achieve from the project – summary sentence (Arial 11)
References (Heading Arial 12)
- AMA (Vancouver) Style (Not included in the words – at least 10 references (Arial 10) for PH candidates and 20 for the RH candidates.
