About the Educational Contributors

Nanette Radeck

Nanette Radeck has over thirty years of experience as a teacher and educator. She has worked in secondary education as Deputy Principal at Rockhampton State High School, Director of Teaching at Rockhampton Grammar School, Course Coach at Harvard Graduate School of Education, and is currently Humanities and Business Coordinator for Catholic Education at Ryan Catholic College, Townsville. Henry Reynolds was her lecturer during her undergraduate years at James Cook University. His work inspired her as a teacher and everything he taught her wasn’t in the history books and has stayed with her throughout her teaching career.  Nanette contributed to the Social and Community Studies Queensland Applied Syllabus. She is currently the President of the Alice River Community Association. She is a passionate volunteer and an active member of her community. She is a proud mother to three sons.

Kristen Harrison

Kristen Harrison is Curriculum Leader at Ryan Catholic College, Townsville. She is an external marker and confirmer for the Queensland Legal Studies Syllabus. She was previously a lawyer in Family Law and administrator at James Cook University. She is a proud mother of nine and grandmother.

Dr. Kezia Perry

Kezia is currently Education Liaison Librarian at James Cook University. She has a background in academia, editing, and secondary education teaching English and History.
